What a GREAT group at Cup A Joe this morning, very interactive and talkative! We talked about what social media is, what some of the biggest myths about social media are (such as "Social Media replaces your current efforts), answered some questions from people such as "Should I have a personal profile AND a work profile?" and "How can I manage my time using social media? How much time should I be spending on it?"

We even had a great discussion about older generations trying to adapt to using social media. The fact is that if you want to reach a younger demographic, you have to either adapt or hire someone to do it!

And last, I listed 5 things we can all be doing to increase our online presence:

1. Be Online
2. Have a plan
3. Ask: do I have an online business card, or do I engage others?
4. List yourself in online directories
5. Never stop learning

Next time we might meet at the Library to use their big screen projector! Thanks everyone for a great meetup!
